Back On The Mississippi PR & Publicity
BOTM PR Policy
Any public television station that airs Back On The Mississippi can request a PR Packet customized for their market.
The Press Release will be targeted at the media outlets suggested by the station, and sometimes a few others we dig up. In addition to the Press Release, the packet includes posters, fact sheets, promotional BOTM flying discs (always a favorite), and other goodies that attract the attention of writers and news production professionals.
As a result, the station can expect great ratings for Back On The Mississippi, and greater public awareness of other programs on the station.
We are also available to work on fundraising efforts. Please email cstrinz@backonthemississippi.com for more information.

Quotes From BOTM Reviews
"I found it fascinating.... Having the Lincoln impersonator ID himself as 'a Lincoln impersonator' was one of many nice meta-fictional touches. And you are a brave man to perform a rap even for 10 seconds." -- Kurt Andersen, Studio 360, Spy magazine
"Turns the travelogue form on its head." -- Bill Hanley, Twin Cities Public Television
"Back On The Mississippi was great--very entertaining and fun to watch" -- Bill Griffith, Zippy The Pinhead
(Photos taken during one of the BOTM scouting trips inspired a Zippy comic that ran on January 19, 2004. Click to see the comic.)
"Strinz uses engaging, everyman humor to keep his stories about life on the Mississippi from getting too studious." -- Michael Finley, The NEW Why Teams Don't Work
"Part travelogue, part history, part 'Rare Visions' silliness about America's river." -- Aaron Barnhart, Kansas City Star
