STORYTIME ENCORE with Sara
Waters
Everywhere
Babies says it best: "Every day, everywhere,
babies are born. They're kissed and dressed and
rocked and fed - and completely adored by the
families who love them." We would add: "And they
are brought to baby storytime at The Red Balloon
Bookshop." We are pleased to announce two new Red
Balloon babies: Finn Beckett, son of Red Balloon
bookseller Maureen Sackmaster-Carpenter, and
Giovanna Marie, daughter of Red Balloon
storyteller Sara Waters. Congratulations! Come to
baby storytime and enjoy!

the experience of travelling the Upper Mississippi
River to film and gather facts for the production.

State," and how river pollution sparked the Black
Hawk Indian Wars over 150 years ago, as well as

10:30 a.m. YOKO and
her COMO ZOO FRIENDS
Our favorite
Japanese kitten, Yoko, from the beloved Rosemary
Wells books Yoko and Yoko's Paper
Cranes, will be visiting The Red Balloon. She
had hoped to bring cranes like the ones her
grandmother had fed in the pond at the end of the
garden, but they needed to stay in Japan. In their
place Yoko will bring some wonderful frogs from
Como Zoo. Come and discover the importance of
frogs in our world. Yoko will have a frog treat
for us.
